Homosexuality Laws By Country: An [Incomplete] Map Generated By Equaldex Users
Above is a map of the world showing where homosexual activity is legal and illegal. Many of the red countries include penalties of life in prison and the death penalty.
This interactive map (along with 7 other maps for other LGBT issues) was generated using data contributed by Equaldex users, however it’s far from complete. (Also, most data has not yet been verified by other users, so there are likely to be errors). Historical data is also being collected, so maps could be generated for any day in history.
Equaldex is still in private Alpha. Want to be among the first 100 people to use Equaldex? Equaldex is looking for more Alpha testers to help test, contribute, or give feedback about the site.

Grandfather Writes Letter To His Daughter After She Kicks Out His Gay Grandson

Your faith in humanity will be restored when you read this letter that a grandfather wrote to his daughter after she kicks out his gay grandson.

From the Huffington Post:

In this incredible letter, a grandfather passionately addresses his daughter’s decision to kick her gay son out of the house after he decided to come out of the closet. Though we don’t have the full details surrounding the incident, the grandfather tells his daughter that “kicking Chad out of your home simply because he told you he was gay is the real ‘abomination’ here. A parent disowning her child is what goes 'against nature.’”

Equalitopia Rebranded As Equaldex, Alpha Site Launches Soon

To prepare for the private Alpha launch on Saturday, August 17th, Equalitopia has been rebranded as Equaldex.

After a very long hold period, the site is almost ready for its first private launch. Equaldex will open to a small group of Alpha testers next weekend, and if you’d like to get an early peek, sign up on equaldex.com.

For those of you who are unfamiliar, Equaldex is a collaborative knowledge base for the LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender) movement.

New Name, New Logo
Over the years, many people misspelled and mispronounced Equalitopia, which is a major branding issue — especially an online brand that people will be typing into search engines and URL bars.
