Gays Couples Lead in ‘Ultimate Wedding Contest’
Gay marriage may be legal in only 5 US states, but that’s not stopping gay couples from winning a $100,000 wedding in The Ultimate Wedding Contest by Crate & Barrel and Daily Candy!
Gregory & Jonathan are in 1st place, but 2nd place is catching up, so we need to help them out! Earl & Mikey, another gay couple are in 5th place. Further down the list are Ed & Erwin, Vinnie & Rob, Marbree, and Aaron.
The Advocate reports that voting ends on March 31st, where the top 50 couples will move to the finals round. From there, the winning couple will be selected by Crate & Barrel and Daily Candy and celebrity wedding planner Jo Gartin.
One way to promote equality is raising awareness and being seen. Let’s help these gay couples! Also note that Earl and Mikey’s Ultimate wedding is in New York City—where gay marriage is not legal. How will this play out?
