Cameron’s Cover Up Over Gay Adoption
The Labour Party have released a new poster featuring David Cameron (the leader of the British Conservative Party), after an attempted cover up of his voting record on gay adoption.
In an interview with Johan Hari in this month’s Attitude magazine, Cameron denies he voted against gay adoption and insists he “abstained” on the vote. It has now emerged that despite Cameron’s denial, the truth is he voted against gay adoption, favouring adoption for specifically ‘married’ couples.
This is not the first time he has misled people about this either. Cameron has past been questioned by Sky News political editor Adam Boulton about his voting record. In the exchange, Bolton pressed the Tory leader to admit he had twice voted against gay couples adopting. Cameron continued to deny he had voted.
